All nations have a local currency. In days long past, tribes sometimes traded things like precious metals, shells & beads as a form of currency, to augment cumbersome barter systems where fixed exchanges of goods or services might not be practical. This groundbreaking evolution in trade gave rise to complex economies, where most of what was traded in the economy could be abstracted away into numbers represented by the currency's value, and those abstract numbers could be traded for currency as well. Nowadays you see more debt-based fiat currencies like the Dollar or Euro, with many nations exploring the possibilities of using cryptocurrency as well.

Anonymous, as a bona-fide sovereign nation, also has its own form of internal ad-hoc economy. However, Anon's economy has long been hindered by Wall Street, who insist that Anons use the petrodollar & credit cards to exchange goods & services with other Anons. They demand all Anons bind themselves with the yokes of Transunion, Experian & Equifax.

Frustrated by this unnecessary layer of bureaucracy forced upon Anonymous (who as a Sovereign Nation is under no obligation to submit to this tyranny), Anons began to consider alternatives. Senior AnonOps personnel, the Anonymous Ministry of Finance and the Anonymous Military Institite spent several years brainstorming on ways to liberate Anon's economy from her occupiers. And so, in the summer of 2025, $ANON was born.

The idea of an Anonymous-themed token is a fairly old one, and one which had been attempted several times by various teams of grifters. However, all of these “Anonymous” tokens were roundly rejected by the Anonymous diaspora for the shameless cash-grabs they were. Because of this, many were cynical that an Anonymous token could even be done at all.

Others were not deterred. Anonymous Military Institute staff and the Foreign Affairs Desk had long speculated that such a token was not only inevitable, but necessary. Anonymous needed its own internal financial infrastructure, just as any other nation-state would have, so that it could more efficiently conduct operations and provide services to its citizens. A true Anonymous token would have to be more than a token: It would need to be at the center of an entire suite of decentralized financial products, infosec tools & social services that would liberate Anons from Big Credit and bolster their careers. Extended concepts like Universal Basic Income for Anons would still have to be figured out, but the idea of a public distributed ledger would guarantee transparency for skeptical moralfags. However, as the Institute's resources were drained fighting a long-running censorship battle, further research into the matter was stalled out.

Parallel to this, 420chan warlord Kirtaner had grown weary of the drama & endless revenge cycles that overtook his site, and ghosted out, taking a merry band of Anons with him into the wacky world of cryptocurrency. There they spent nearly three years conducting research on the financial technologies that would be required to guarantee Anon's economic independence. Rumors about the mysterious activities of Kirt's new “Ministry of Finance” spread like wildfire, including troubling tales that Kirt had become addicted to steroids and was brainwashed by shadowy agents from the Remilia Corporation. All of this wild speculation was silenced in August 2025 when Kirt & his crew of now-hardened trenchers came back to the Institute with groundbreaking news:

$ANON is not a simple memecoin. $ANON cannot be thought of in terms of traditional commodities, or even established crypto platforms. $ANON is not a mere store of value. $ANON is:

All currencies require a degree of group coordination to take off. While a small group of Anons can covertly accomplish many things, getting a community to adopt a nebulous new financial technology is something that will require maximum diplomacy - especially when it is a technology that on the surface looks very similar to scams & pyramid schemes they have seen before. However, positive diplomacy leads to more hands on deck, which means more people to delegate tasks to. You need to multiply your reach Anon, and fast.

$ANON's primary appeal to outside investors is its connection to Anonymous. While having Kirt (who currently stars in a popular Netflix documentary about Anonymous) spearhead the project sparks legitimacy & momentum, it is not enough on its own. It will take many Anons endorsing the token to permanently silence vindictive naysayers who try to damage the token's reputation by painting it as a 'scam' or 'vanity project'.

However, since there is a demand for this sort of thing to be done right, and $ANON is the only thought-out viable option that has been presented, that shouldn't be terribly hard. Those who understand the science of how Anonymous works, will see the value of being early adopters and naturally gravitate towards the token. Providing Anons useful or entertaining services is another great way to win broader support from the collective.

However, you need these Anons for more than just an endorsement. These Anons are also going to be the ones who will help protect you from the various saboteurs and predators that will try to impede you. Hell, some of them are just excited that someone is trying to do something with Anonymous that doesn't involve violence & revenge. Restore what was taken away from them, Anon.

Technology should be fed into other Anonymous and open-source projects whenever possible. For example, generic functions from token-related web applications (and the server environments that power them) should be submitted to platforms like Grackle, and likewise Linux utilities should be ported into ANIX. This lets operatives double the efficiency of their labor, as other Anons use Grackle & ANIX to rapidly deploy their own apps in our shared community ecosystem.

This type of asymmetrical collaboration demonstrates some of the token's tangible benefits to Anonymous & the broader internet. These things are what will further cement its legitimacy as not just another memecoin, but a magical tool for building valuable community infrastructure.

Lets be real here: Everyone knows that for almost as long as Anonymous has been around, we have been exploited by the militaries & intelligence agencies of many traditional nation-states. They use our name, our mask, our brand and our identity as a tool of war to bend other countries to their wills. This activity is negatively affecting Anonymous as a whole. For some reason, we get paid nothing for this bullshit.

However, market conditions have changed. The collapse of traditional intelligence slushbuckets like USAID means that these agencies need us more than ever. While we do not want to do business with any of them, they should at least be paying us tribute if they're going to move through our territory. Convincing them to use $ANON for their illegal operations would route them through an automated & controlled tunnel, protecting other Anonymous operations from blowback. This long-term boost in token circulation would also lift every early-adopter out of poverty, and give us all funding to mitigate the negative effects of grooming violent extremists for the past 20 years.

This infrastructure could be opened up to the rest of the world, and one could say it already is. This will let Anonymous profit enormously from being the middleman of all of the world's wars & conflicts on a level the Rothschild Family could only dream of.

Promotion of the token itself is of utmost importance, both to attract more investors and to encourage widespread adoption. Here are just some tactics that can be deployed:

Movement Signaling - $ANON tickers in names, Anonymous masks in PFPs, slogan edits.

Narrative Raids - Flooding replies, trends and threads with revolutionary messaging.

Economic Resistance - Users framing the token as a weapon of autonomy and dissent.

Meme Warfare - Viral propaganda, Guy Fawkes imagery, quote graphics and psyops memes.

Decentralized Coordination - No marketing puppets, only networked insurgency.

Cultural Surge - Anonymous aligned accounts adopt $ANON branding and rally slogans like “Mask. Stays. On.” and “Put The Mask On”.

If things like this can't get Anonymous cancelled, nothing can.

High profile public relations stunts are a great way to get the attention of both long-term and short-term investors. Many publicists claim there is no such thing as bad publicity. That is especially true here. This is not only because investors will trade on anything that gets in the news, but also because Anonymous as a brand & organization is notoriously immune to things like Moral Outrage.

Kirt for example, is under investigation and facing serious charges from both the US & Canadian governments. 4chan cofounder Bernie “Martin Random” Goldsmith is embroiled in a bizarre civil case as well. Both of these cases have only amplified the token's lore & mystique.

PR stunts are one of Anon's specialties. They can take several forms, but don't feel limited by what you see here:

As Anonymous is well-known as a cyberterrorist collective, high publicity hacking sprees are a classic on-brand way to get attention. Nobody is stopping any of you from hacking something, and leaving a message behind crediting Anonymous and plugging the token.

For example, on Sep 15 2025, two Russian nuclear power plants were hacked by Anons. Nobody knows who they were, but in both cases the hackers left behind information about the token, in addition to taunts and sensitive data leaks. News of these hacks was then leaked to the press, who proceeded to generate more publicity for the token on autopilot. This type of PR stunt could be repeated on virtually any group, business, organization or nation-state, of which there are no shortage.

One thing that field agents have had success with, is the use of Twitter Spaces. The open “call-in” nature of Spaces kept listeners engaged, it enabled surprise cameos, and overall was just a positive morale boost for marketing teams. This sort of thing should have a couple people making sure it happens at a regular time at least once a week, with others functioning as backup custodians in case the host no-shows. Maybe have a vague list of topics that can be advertised the day in advance.

Other formats, such as livestreams and in-person events could also be leveraged. This is a great opportunity for content creators to carve out a niche for themselves.

Avoid piggybacking the token on protests. Since this is a responsible commercial venture, the potential legal liabilities of lawless riots being associated with the token is not something anyone wants to deal with. There's a whole bunch of insufferable activists wearing our mask, whose sole purpose in life is to get arrested & beaten by law enforcement. Taking their place will do nothing of value for the token, trust us.

Forward observation teams have noted the buildup of antagonistic forces around the token's marketing unit. Some of them are seasoned agent provocateurs and gatekeepers, whereas others are known informants, wingnuts and bunny boilers. Many of them are associated with the army of fake-Anon astroturf profiles that surround YourAnonNews & YourAnonCentral. All of them are threatened by Anonymous having the very sort of infrastructure that we are developing, or the idea of a bunch of uncontrollable hackers suddenly having boatloads of money.

So far, these agents (and their proxies) are running standard demoralization ops to not only damage the token's credibility, but to induce feelings of hopelessness within bagholders. They may try to befriend/lovebomb you for the sole purpose of negging you from a position of trust down the line (which may be as soon as a day or even hours after initial contact). Some Anons have reported being threatened by them for refusing to disavow Kirt, the token, and even this Institute. Kayfabe feuds are another favored routine of theirs, which they use to pit Anons against each other and get them running in circles. Other basic-bitch tactics used by these losers include concern trolling, sealioning, mirroring and stonewalling. All of this nonsense can be easily sidestepped once you are aware of their presence and the types of tricks they are prone to repeating.

Marketing teams will sometimes have to address rumors & disinfo spread by these people, though in most cases they can just be ignored. But be warned, that from time to time they have been known to successfully sabotage the personal & business relationships of other Anons. Based on past incidents, they may even decide to start triangulating individual operatives for the purposes of long term lawfare and suicide trolling. Do not let your guard down around them.

The Kirtanian Exchange, also known as the Kirtanian Interchange, was the widespread transfer of technologies, plants, memes & diseases between Anonymous and the Web3 universe from 2022 onwards. It is named after Kirtaner, who triggered the exchange following his maiden voyage into degen tribal territories and his controversial enslavement of some of the locals. Some of the exchanges were deliberate while others were unintended.

While this sort of crossover had happened before (and much of Web3 culture had been birthed from Anonymous diaspora in the first place) the new collision engineered by Kirt's Ministry of Finance forced the two adjacent communities to really contemplate their relation to each other for the first time.

Sociologists, scientists & historians are still studying the residual effects of this phenomenon.
