First Aid Kit

Packing a first aid kit for a protest is important, as is knowing some basic first aid in case of an emergency with either yourself, or a companion. In your kit you should have antiseptic wipes, gauze, medical tape, bandaids, antibiotic ointment, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, tweezers, small instant cold pack. In addition to these items, make sure if you have any existing medical condition, you pack accordingly for that as well. If you're diabetic, particularly type 1, you might have an issue with Hypoglycemia and should bring some small candies, dehydrated fruit snacks etc. If you're Asthmatic, don't take a chance with possible exposure to gas, and pack your inhaler as well. Another handy item to bring is an epipen if you have known allergies.
