 The [[:tools|Software Tools]] portal has an entirely different origin story. Many of those pages came from the never-finished support portal of my internet business [[https://lanterns.io|Novelty Lanterns]], back when I was still doing web hosting services. After transitioning into consulting, those pages sat unpublished for a few years as my personal notes. Needless to say, they aligned very well with Best Point and got merged in with some of the software pages from the Insurgency Wiki.

 I oftentimes find myself talking to developers or "hackers" that do not know basic shell commands. So for those of you looking to get into programming, or server administration, or managing networks, or any sort of infosec work, you've come to the right place. The software guides here are by no means exhaustive or even advanced, but they will quickly point your studies in the Right Directions.
